Harvia of Muurame
In the early 1970s Harvia moved to the town of Muurame and constructed a new factory hall there. Throughout the 1970s the company grew at a pace of some 30% annually. The oil crisis of the 1970s actually promoted the business of Finnish woodburning stove manufacturers: woodburning stoves grew popular, as they used domestic fuel, which was in line with the energy-saving recommendations. In the 1970s Harvia only manufactured woodburning sauna stoves.
